Her Ways

The sun splits

to shine on a small creature

of worth, body vanished.

The light bleeds

from your slits.

I inhale, gripe, shooting upwards

Love poured down, over the earth.

Drained soil, dried trees’ leaves

Occupied a vast space.

A flowering plant drools,

Emptied of moisture, putting the sun

in its power, a generous dose

to diminish. A sunset,

gripped the unfolding of your scent,

sweet pea.

Vanished again.

It is so lovely to rest in cool

Yet fervent light.

We are happy it happens this way.

Innocent sun;

Exposed, circling the town.

Some things borrowed for this day.

A generous tower, to face.
